PERFORMANCE GOAL The percentage of Pre-K to 2nd-grade students who score at age/grade level or above on designated diagnostic assessments and/or achievement tests will increase incrementally to the 2009 targets. STRATEGY# 1: In order to improve student achievement, instruction will be differentiated in each classroom based on diagnostic assessments results, such as ITBS, Co-GAT, MAP, and K – 1 Math performance Task Assessments. STRATEGY# 2: In order to improve student achievement, staff will receive professional development in curriculum, best practices to improve classroom instruction and assessment. PERFORMANCE GOAL The percentage of 3rd – 6th- grade students who score basic and above on all areas of PACT will increase incrementally to the 2009 targets STRATEGY# 1: In order to improve student achievement, instruction will be differentiated in each classroom based on diagnostic assessment results, such as DRA and MAP. STRATEGY# 2: In order to improve student achievement, staff will receive professional development in curriculum, best practices to improve classroom instruction, assessment, and leadership-building capacity. PERFORMANCE GOAL By 2009 80% of the parents will be satisfied with the West Hardeeville School Parent Involvement efforts as measured by individual responses on a parent survey administered each year STRATEGY#1: Parents will be involved in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the West Hardeeville School Improvement Plan. STRATEGY#2: WHS employees and the community will be satisfied with the level of communication among school personnel, administration, parents, and the community. PERFORMANCE GOAL All special populations such as Special Education, Gifted and Talented, English as Second Language Learners, Alternative School, Academic Accelerated Classrooms, students on Academic Assistance Plans, students whose diagnostic assessments indicate the need for remediation services NOT covered by Title I Supplemental Services, and students who require special services based on age or need, must reach AYP as outlined in NCLB. STRATEGY#1:Ensure that all special population groups are adequately served by Jasper County Programs.
