In math we are engaging and exploring mathematical expressions and equations. Our students are working in groups to model the Commutative and Associative properties using connecting cubes. Our students are reading the problems and using Math conversation to present the examples. The fourth graders are excited about our study on Earth’s science. We are summarizing and drawing diagram of the water cycle, classifying clouds according to their three basic types and how they are form. Hands on activities included distinguishing clouds using cotton balls and chalk. The students recently made wind vanes to determine wind direction and flip books to show the different weather tools used to measure weather conditions. We are writing multiple paragraphs daily to make preparation for the state writing exam. In Social Studies we are learning how traveling to different parts of the world connects people. |
